Reflections on Day 3 of the Brisbane to Byron Walk

Today I’m wanting to get to Ormeau Train Station. It’s over 15kms. The path is unclear in places, though I know I’ll get there…eventually.
Walking from Beenleigh along country roads soon after sunrise is beautiful. The air is sweet and cool, the birds chattering away is delightful and the crickets are very noisy, often drowning out the sound of the traffic on the busy freeway, which was close by.

I went to Yatala Pie Shop for breakfast and it was closed….arrgghhhh!!! Oh well, I’ll come back later for lunch.  I stopped for a coffee break at Four Beans In A Cup, Ormeau, before continuing onto Ormeau Station.

I clocked up another 17km today…boy, what an effort!!! Its been a hot day and my legs are aching. They really need a massage.  Kate and I had lunch at the Yatala Pie Shop. Yum, yum.

When we get back to Kate’s I shower and rest, then Kate does a fairy oracle card reading with me. 💜💜 Beauty, Self Reliance and Creative Expression came up. They were spot on. I can definitely sense the fairies are looking out for me.

To finish my day, I have a hot chocolate and a seated-chair massage…blissful.

Inspirational Thought – The sights and sounds of nature can only be replicated inadequately by human means.  At 4am you can actually hear the birds deciding which worm-catching strategies are best.
