Blind Walk for the Bangladesh Children – Day 4 and 5 – Merry Christmas!!

December 23rd

8:04 am – Just a quick coffee stop. The walk from Ormeau Station to Coomera shops was a bit scary in places with big trucks hurtling past and Google Maps giving wrong directions (good on ya Google Maps 👊). The countryside is pretty, especially in the early morning. Next stop for the morning is Oxenford shops. Then I’ll hang around till this arvo, before heading to Westfield Helensvale, my final destination for the day.

11:06 am – Made it to Oxenford shops (after wandering in circles looking for it – my intuition and spider senses start to shut down when I’m tired), 17kms. Phew!!! I’m catching a bus to Helensvale to relax in the air con, till I come back to Oxenford this arvo to continue my walking journey to Helensvale.  PS. I cooled off briefly in the Coomera River – feet and head…noice!!!

4:33 pm – I am being looked after today. Lunch with Christiane Vee at Crema Espresso at Westfield, Helensvale, then foot and body massage with May Zhao. I pulled a muscle in my leg while walking this morning. I’m praying it holds up for the rest of the walk this afternoon.

9:39 am – The walk from Oxenford to Westfield Helensvale this morning was very easy. Resting up yesterday was a good call. Only a couple of hours away from the ocean at Labrador. I’m getting so excited!!! I’m grateful for the cloud cover today too, makes it cooler.

12:11 pm – I’m at the seaway!!! 90km in 5 days – I’m stoked! I’m so grateful to the support and energy supplied to me by everyone who has liked my posts while on this walk. I’m here because of you 🙏
